The Benefits of the New Valetis Roof Terminal

Ubbink has recently introduced the Valetis, an innovative, extra low-profile roof duct designed for mechanical air extraction. This new product is crafted with an emphasis on simplifying the installation process for technicians and optimising the functionality of the ventilation system. Made from recycled materials, the Valetis is an eco-friendly solution that meets high performance standards.

Valetis & Ventus terminals

1. Discreet and Seamless Appearance

Ubbink's Valetis is designed to be the lowest-profile ventilation roof duct available for sloped roofs, standing at a mere 140 millimeters above the roofline. This minimal protrusion makes it almost unnoticeable, offering an aesthetically pleasing look that complements any roof design. Additionally, its low height ensures minimal shadowing on solar panels, allowing for flexible placement anywhere on the roof without affecting solar efficiency.

2. Optimised Insulation Integrity

Traditional ventilation roof ducts are typically installed at an angle, requiring the creation of an elliptical duct that can be challenging to accurately mark and saw. This can also make achieving an airtight seal difficult. In contrast, the Valetis simplifies installation, ensuring maximum retention of the roof's insulation value while providing a secure and easy-to-seal connection.

The Valetis roof duct: Streamlined Installation and Superior Performance

The Valetis, like the Ventus, is designed to penetrate the roof at right angles. This feature allows for a minimal, round roof opening, simplifying the installation process and enabling precise work. As a result, there are fewer gaps around the duct, enhancing the airtightness and maintaining the insulation value. Additionally, the pipes can be easily mounted directly along the roof boarding on the inside.

3. Enhanced Airflow and Reduced Noise

The Valetis significantly enhances the performance of the entire ventilation system by optimising airflow. Thanks to its low installation height, air travels a shorter distance with reduced resistance. Unlike other insulated roof duct systems, which often have a smaller internal diameter compared to the ventilation pipes, the Valetis maintains the same internal diameter throughout. This design minimises resistance, improves airflow, reduces the workload on the ventilation unit, and consequently, leads to lower energy consumption and decreased noise levels.

4. Comprehensive and Sustainable Solution

The Valetis is a versatile choice suitable for both new construction and renovation projects. Crafted from recycled materials, it offers an eco-friendly solution for mechanical air extraction. The inclusion of a Ubiflex cover ensures a waterproof finish on tiled roofs. Compatible with all types of roof tiles, the Valetis is the only ventilation roof duct designed for slopes ranging from 15 to 67 degrees.
